Heavyweight have a different way then any other weight.
1. The weight... You can have more than 200lb to a max of 1000lb... but in fact after 300LB no more bonus. You gain STR if you are heavier then your opponent... for complete rules about, check the HELP. But you will loose some Endurance for the excess of weight... But in Bare knuckle you don't need to fight each round like hell, you don't need to win 7 rounds to get a win... Nope you just need one round. So let’s talk about a way to get past the fact you loose endurance: Rest line... In BK, you fight 25 round and it's nearly impossible to get there with 300lb if you do not use some rest line... But not the normal you see in regional... I don't talk about 1/2/9 (outside)... No way it will work for 20 roun
d... you need more like 2B/4/10 or 1B/2/12... something not very offense oriented but that can be used for 20 rounds or more. This doesn’t look like a rest line for gain a lots of endurance in a round... but it will get you enough to make 25 rounds against a big clincher... Don’t forget... you get a lot of STR from overweight.
NOTE:
Never go heavier then 300LB, because you will loose more endurance but get no bonus over it.
2. Height... 7 to 7'1 will get you the most Speed and Agility bonus over your opponent.. yes you will have less STR then your opponent, but Overweight get you the STR you lost in height. Your stat will look bad at first but when you put in your entire bonus... You will see that in fact you have way better stat then your opponent.
3. KP!... Heavyweight do not get a lots of agility... You loose like 20 to 24 AP in height right from the start so... Here each KP are dangerous... 3 KP is like 5 to 7 KP in featherweight... Only 3 AP max is needed to get the trick done, why not using it. What can you get from 3 more STR or 3 more agility... not so much
but 3 KP will get you Stun and Knockdown you need to make PTS in BK.
4. Style... Outside is more efficient, but you loose Power bonus...Counter
get you +1 STR and give you agility and make your opponent loose agility... This is the style you choose... Like all other BK fighter... a 3B/6 to 9/11 to 8 (counter) is your main line.(My favorite is 3B/8/9 because you do not open for flash line but give opponent a lots of endurance damage.) For finish line or to get a STUN 4H/9/7 (counter) will get you most of the time a Stun.
5. The rules of BK... If you have 1pts and the opp don’t have any... Don’t
fight for nothing... Use your rest/cruise line...
6. Check your endurance, but also check the opp endurance... If you see it to 1 or 0 and you have more then 70%.. Go for a head shot... You have so much STR VS your opp that you will get a stun and maybe a knockdown.
7. Train chin to 11 max... You will get less IP after each fight then if you have 8 or 9 chin...
8. Did I think my way of winning is lame...? YES but it work... Why? Because I use each bonus I can get without loosing from the bad thing you get in regional. Loosing endurance in regional is very bad... But not in BK! If you want to try a
Slugger / clincher... Some rules for you
1. Make it as light as you can... meaning... between 201LB and 209LB... Why... You
don’t want to loose endurance when you try to pound your opponent, so you need to be in shape.
2. Never clinch if you do not pound your opponent... Meaning... In BK we have a rule that doctor will never stop a fight, but if we are too much damage you will clinch all the rest of the fight with great chance of loosing PTS because of it... SO Clinching is a little broken... use no style to rest... You don’t
get anything from it, but you do not loose pts from it.
3. Don’t think Speed is useless... In heavyweight... Speed is everything! you will make more damage if you have more speed, try to balance your Agility and your speed. But get a LOT of STR... You need to get more then what you will make the opponent gain from the overweight.
4. Get a very good Chin.. 11 to 13, because you will be head hunted by KP counter-
puncher... you need to resist that.
5. Don’t lets your endurance be less then 70%... You strike harder this way, so use lots of power and low agg.
6. Get a little more Cond to lets you use more AGG line. 14 Cond get you 7 endurance regain... but 16 get you 8... So you can use 1 more Aggression and make much more damage.
7. If you try a slugger...don’t use KP... you need each and every AP... Your end line need to be in the Body and you need to be able to strike always hard... 5B/10/5 (clinch) will probably get you KO'ed by a KP fighter so... 4B/9!/7 (Clinch) if your opp is 1 or 2 and if he is 0 go for it... 5B/10/5 Will get you to a victory.
8. So to remember... be light, fast and having a good endurance... other then that...don’t forget that a 7 to 7'1 will get Speed and agility over you so...
don’t try to be gentle. Always put power in your line and if you rest....Rest
like a regional fighter and comeback with heavy hand... Don’t use the lame cruise line because you need to win the endurance war, but also you need to make more damage then what is cruise line can soak.
