Concrete returned with one of my "Return to WeBL" emails. He had 3 WTs, he now has 78 and he's done it with multiple fighter types. 75 WTs and 2 invitationals in less than 52 weeks is top notch.
Kodiak, like Concrete won a load of titles in less than 52 weeks, I believe it's been about 60+ titles. Maybe more.
Sonic is Sonic. Possibly the most amazing manager I've known in this game. He wins WTs like we all breath.
~Martin~
Posted by: [Dominion] Kodiak [Winner of 302 Regional Titles]
I got 75 this year. Not sure on Concretes total but is was a bunch. IMO those 2 invitationals where huge. So many great managers this year makes it hard to narrow to just 3. I'm sure it's a bit subjective for each of us.
Posted by: Concrete (WTA, Inc.)
That email Martin came in early 2015, amazing how time flies isn't it?
According to Sanford's 2015 title count I had 24 WTs in 2015, and I had 3 in the old days before my comeback.
Doing that math that leaves me at 51 WTs + 2 Inv titles in 2016. Kodiak at 75 titles, definitely more than me, he REALLY turned on the heat in the 2nd half of the year. Can't say enough about the year Kodiak had. He was really working over Bobby D's sissies in WT fights during a stretch where I was really struggling against him, so that had me take notice especially well.
Posted by: Rits Shinju & Terra Mantric
I agree. Having only 3 leaves out a lot of great managers. So WTA was responsible for 150 titles with just two managers. That's not even counting your other guys. UBK won the clan tournament, but you guys are the nastiest clan. We're still the best, lol 😂 but you guys are definitely the nastiest. I know Stars doesn't wanna hear that.

Sanford did not win as much as I thought, everytime they beat me I start to think they must have about 200 titles, but no...
Sonic is doing great of course... as usual. I feel he's on semiauto.
Posted by: Concrete (WTA, Inc.)
Sonic is great, he's very good at what he does as his WT suggests. Like an AoP clone, he's always doing the right thing at the right time and you can never win an easy fight against him unless he's like down an AP or two.
The only gripe I have with his legacy is that he doesn't vary his fighting builds. He runs agile dancers and variations of such. Just so happens that agile dancers are very advantageous in this sim and unlike all the other builds, has no tough match ups. At worst, against low chin sluggers say, they are 40/60, still very much alive. I just kind of feel like if you've won over 350+ WTs doing one thing and one thing only you'd want to change it up and see if you could prove yourself with other builds. Only maybe that's only my limited view of things since I wasn't there to witness all of his WTs.

Perhaps Sonic could try different types, but if he's still winning and his opponents know smart he's running so i think that's still a helluva accomplishment.
Looks like he's only running one fighter. Hope he's not retiring.

Why should Sonic change. He found a design / FP style that works for him. It is up to opponents to beat him. Bobby received similar criticism for his KP sissys.

You are right lille. What can I say, I'm a lazy fucker
However I have won WT's with KP, strength based fighters and CPers too, just not that recently. I find KP a chore to run these days as it takes effort to scout, but most of my early successes in this game came with KP.
I realised this year that motivation has been low. I reached a few invitational finals and didn't really put the effort in to win them when I had the chance to.
I'm going to take a break and see where I'm at.
Manager of the year.
1) Concrete 2) Kodiak 3) Essex.

Has he not been the most consistent manager this year?
Isn't he always in the top ten, hell, top 5?
It's like, he's guaranteed to win titles. Kinda like when you tell your coworkers that "I'll seexya tomorrow". You feel of course there will be a tomorrow. That's how it is with Sonic, just so Fucking consistent at it that he's has to be manager of the year.

Don't WT's directly correlate to ones ability in this game? So best managers and most WT's usually go hand in hand. Everyone is entitled to their opinions on the topic, was just curious as to how your 3 votes were more quality over the other managers who have been nominated/voted.

W/Ts do reflect managers abilities no doubt but not every manager runs a lot of fighters so of course they are not gonna win a huge amount of titles compared to some others.. my votes were based on managers that I have found hard to beat and have also won numerous w/ts in 2016 hence why its my personal vote to pick 3 is hard and by no means am I disrespecting Kodiak or any other gym for that matter.

UBK won the clan tournament, but you guys are the nastiest clan. We're still the best, lol 😂 but you guys are definitely the nastiest. I know Stars doesn't wanna hear that.

Wow, time does fly. Sheesh, I thought that was his year.

I'd better change my vote to
Concrete-Essex-Kodiak

Hmm, that's kind of like saying Lionel Messi's career is tainted by not playing in as many positions as James Milner.

I am a bit biased because Kodiak destroys me, but my choices would be:
1.) Kodiak
2.) Concrete
3.) Essex

I'd say the vote has to be Sonic.
Just saying....

Hope to see you soon, Sonic. When I got bored to run KPers I switched on sluggers, BK. There's some interesting stuff to try.

Style change-up or a major FP over haul has always done the trick for me when things get stale.

Sonic should try freak clinchers.
Very different from the fighter type he normally runs.

Interestingly nobody has mentioned Rife. To start from scratch and already have about 20 WTs. At that rate he would have been the highest winning WT manager had all managers been starting like for like.

Not surprised Sonic's tearing it up. He always looked a heck of a prospect even in his early days.

I bet Rife will be high on the list next year.

What exactly wasn't quality about Kodiak's 77 WT's and year? He doubled his WT count from what he started 2016 with.

Nothing not quality about Kodiaks efforts.. Is it a vote for number of w/ts or best managers?
Posted by: The Greatest Combined Gym Ever: LikQid

Number of WTs do not always reflect absolute quality in my opinion

Bucks & Bobby
No worries guys. I don't feel slighted in the least. I set some lofty goals for myself in 2016, had a good year and received some peer recognition for my efforts. I'm happy as hell for how it all turned out to be honest. Everyone will have their own perception on how to vote for this and that's cool with me. However people vote and however it turns out is all good with me.

I'm even happier that Concrete gets the recognition he deserves for his accomplishments in 2016. Well deserved in my humble opinion!

quality or quantity or anything else you prefer

Whatever the criteria it is based on its feel Rife will be the sneaky favorite to get into the top 3 for the year of 2017. He's causing major terror in the game as it is.
