Creating A 7' Cruiser
The first thing to do with a 7' cruiser is to figure out a decent set up that will be successful. Most of my success with these fighters has come from this set up:
Str: 1
Spd: 6
Chin: 5
Cut Resistance: 1
KO Punch: 0
Agl: 21
Con: 12
Build: very light
These stats are really weird but they can easily be successful in regionals, and even some make it far into contenders. The highest I have seen one get was 26(26) and a few others are close behind.
What To Do In The Fight?
Outside will work the best especially since your conditioning is low. Plus
it will get your speed up. Obviously you can't use more than 1 pow and expect to
wear people down this early in your career. So your FP's will have a lot of 1 str, mainly 8/1/11. Even if opponents allout its not too difficult to win on points without getting KO'd and a lot of stuns, but practicing in the sim is the best way to figure out what will work.
What To Train And When?
The best way to train your 7' cruiser is to start with conditioning. It’s hard to not get tired when you have 12 conditioning so get that up to 14 before you do much else. After that train a combination of chin and speed until 10+ status. By then you might have picked up a few str and maybe had to train an agl to stay at or under 190. The key is to have 3 str and 1 KP by your first RT fight. Because the fighters are usually much better now, you need the option of stopping the allout so a 4h/7/9 (counter) would work great.
What To Do In Contenders?
Ill leave that up to you, but basically follow what you've been doing in regionals. But be careful, these fighters get very boring to manage after a while, unless you like low str KP dancers).
Closing Note:
Practicing in the sim will tell you what to do to get the best result. You'd be surprised at how good these fighters can do against sluggers and KP fighters. And these fighters can be very IP efficient, they don’t take many IP's because in contenders, managers tend to try to either allout or win on points, so you either flash them or just out slap them. Good luck
